Baby M Blocks

I am making a few of the blocks for the quilt my mom is making for my new baby girl. I've got 2 of 3 completely finished and just a tiny bit left of the 3rd block. Just need to get thread for the eyes and flower petals. These blocks are so cute! Love the vintage animals and 30s prints.

Spring has Sprung!

As you can see by my flowers I got at the grocers ... Spring has Sprung! Today is also daylight savings time - so we lost an hour - but it is not so bad when you wake up to sunshine when the weather report said cloudy and rain. Hope the weatherman is wrong for all day and we get to keep the sun!

We are off to LAS VEGAS!

If you hear the words "Hit Me", don't worry, they are coming from me - at the black jack table in Vegas!!! We are on our way for our annual trip to 'Trip the lights fantastic'! Darlin hubby is in front of the Paris hotel with a showgirl, of course, I get stuck in front of Mc D's (but with Elvis)! So that made up for it! I will be back on Saturday! Hope everyone has as much fun this week as I will be having! As you can see - we always have fun!

Can't eat just one!

While most people are chocolate lovers, all sweets - I'm a tad different, I'll take potato chips over chocolate any day! I saw these at the grocers the other day, resisted them, but then last night I had to run up and buy milk and guess what also made it in the cart with me! I had to have a bowl for breakfast - they are so yummy!

Easter is almost here!

I love making pillowcases - my grown up kids think I'm silly - I made them each a birthday
pillowcase and a set of Christmas pillowcases. Such fun! I am always making me and my hubby
a set of 'groovy' pillowcases. Valori Wells, Alexander Henry, and Joel Dewberry are some of my favorite designers for pillowcases. Also making them out of flannel is way cool!
So... I was down at Joann's Fabrics buying my quilt batting at 40% off and could not resist making my Granddaughter a little Easter pillowcase.... I think it turned out so cute. It only costs $4.35 to make! What a Deal! www.fabric.com has birthday material and number material - so for her birthday in August - she will get a matching pillowcase along with her birthday quilt I will be making for her. Aren't grandchildren the best? Thank goodness we have been blessed with a grandson who is 5 months old now, and a new little granddaughter due in May, cause I have been accused of spoiling our granddaughter! Can you believe it? I guess, as with everything, it is easy to go overboard with being a first time grandparent. I don't mean too, she just makes it so easy!
