I am making the quilt pattern, Anna's Album and here is the first block.  I was surprised how large the block turned out:)

Assembly Line

Piecing this quilt together is so time consuming due to the pressing... so my daughter suggested an assembly line ... it is working out great!

Look what I got:)

I have always wanted a civil war quilt -but have been a bit intimidated by all the fabric choices out there.
Now I don't have to worry, Sara is going to make me this gorgeous basket pattern by Fig Tree in all civil war fabrics.  How lucky am I? And, since she is making it for me, I will get it sooner than if I was making the quilt:)  I love the colors she choose.  Lucky Lucky me!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there, especially my Mom. Mom, I don't know if I tell you enough how much I appreciate and love you. If I had to guess I'd say 99% of what you do is for other people. Taking care of my kids while I'm at work means a lot to me too. I know when they grow up they will look back at this as a special time they got to spend with you. Thank you and Happy Mother's Day!!!!

I got an early Gramma's Day present:)

Kaylee made this little tree house at school.  She wanted me to hang it outside in one of our trees, but I didn't want it to get mess up with all the rain we have here... so with a little coaxing, I was able to get her to agree to hang it on our wall in the kitchen where we can look at it every day:)
