Miss Mel is learning to dress herself...

Melanie wanted so badly to go outside yesterday, but it was raining, so she got real quiet, and I saw that she had put on her sister's boots (wrong feet) and her sister's jacket (Papa helped her zip it) and then she was trying to get the front door unlocked.  I opened the door for her to see what she would do, and out the door she went... just walked around the porch, and after a few minutes came back in when she got her hair wet...  so adorable at this age!  Couldn't resist snapping a few pics :)

Happy Valentine's Day !

Hubby and I agree to only get each other cards for Valentine's Day, he showed up with some carnations too, they are so pretty and smell yummy!

         Is there a better feeling than snuggling up to a quilt that just came out of the dryer?  I think not!  Well actually, snuggling up to your grandbaby :)

Kaylee made herself a dragon tale and a Princess hat  - she is so creative - can't wait to see what profession she goes into when she goes to college :)

          Little Miss Mel is so much like Sara when she was little, she was determine to help me sew....

We did pretty good, no fingers were sewn!

                               Miss Mel loves her animals - here she is giving her dog, Blitz, a big hug :)

    Sara machine quilted Elizabeth Rose's quilt while I sewed a handbag...  tomorrow I will back it and put the binding on it and give it a bath :)

         As promised - my hubby is the perfect quilt hanger.  We can see all of the quilt now!

                                      Now we can also see Robin's block in the first row!

                 Finally fell asleep, so I took her upstairs to finish her nap in her baby crib :)

Finally got the top finished of my birdies... now to quilt the top :)  then bind it and hang it on my wall in my sewing room.  Two of my bestest friends in the world also made the same wall hanging and we exchanged a block of each others so we would have something from each of us on our wall hanging.  In this picture, you can only see Nanci's...( the dark blue square)  Robin's is on the other side of the wall.  Will get a complete picture when hubby comes home to hold it up for me :)

             Now to give to my daughter to machine quilt the top :)  She always does such a pretty job!

My Sweet Niece, Kellyann, is going to have a little girl soon.  Love getting to make her a blankie.  Got two sides of the borders on, only two left to go, then another border of sweet deers - should get those on this Saturday :)
